With CV Image(CV: Camera Vector), User can obtain the height information, water level (ex. in meters) on the fly in the geospatial video window. This feature allows a User to simulate and to understand the effect of inundation during natural calamities such as Tsunami, typhoons etc.

Augmented Reality with Machine Map

This is a demonstration of Augment Reality using Machine Map. Machine Maps are derived automatically from the Camera Vector Image Database and also called as 3D Vector Map.In this case, Machine Map is purposely developed for Rubic Cube (assuming the cubes to be different building).

The highly precise positioning of the mobile device is achieved by finding the correspondence in three Dimensional space of Machine Map with Rubic Cube. The precise position will remain the same even after moving the camera position. The animated Penguin CG only demonstrates the matching process and can overlay in 3D even after hiding Machine Map (only used in background positioning process).

Machine Map for Real-time Image Positioning

"Machine Map" is a 3D vectorized map for machines, not for human. This Machine Map can be automatically made by 3D analyzation from the original omni-directional video image. The high accurate calculation of the position and the posture of the camera which can not be done by the usual method like GPS can be achieved by comparing the real-time image with the Machine Map. In addition, the objects and information implemented in the Machine map can be overlaid in the real-time image at high-accurate position. (e.g. AR, Real Image Car Navigation)

Parts Reconstruction Method(PRM) in Card Recognition

This is a demonstration of Card Recognition System created by Iwane Laboratories, Ltd. showing an application of PRM technology.

PRM stands for "Parts Reconstruction Method" and is completely new mechanism of Image recognition, conversion and display. PRM recognizes an image as a collection of the constituent elements and separate them into each part. In this method each part in the sender's database is selected and its code like unique id, name and alignment are sent to the receiver as code. The receivers select the matched part using the code in the receiver's database and re-align in three (3) dimensional space to represent it from arbitrary point of view. The parts database is always prepared for both the sender and receiver in PRM system and various relevant types of the parts are prepared as 3DCG.

In the above demonstration movie, initially the card of trump is captured by 3D camera and recognized in different parts by PRM. Then the each part is converted to part ID in database along with alignment details in space. These parts details are then sent from server to client side using the client server architecture. The information is reconstructed in 3D space, based on the parts in the client side PC's database. User can freely change the field of view and play Black Jack Game.

Creating 3D City Space Using 3D Models

Iwane Laboratories, Ltd. furthers Its Scope of Technical Services: Application of New Technology for Creating 3D City Space Using 3D Models

Integration of coordinate

Iwane can offer the service of 3DCG City Space Modeling. The coordinate of each construction and the whole city space has been integrated without any contradiction by applying our new coordinate integration tool "INCO (tentative)" in addition to our 3DPCCI product.

To create a 3D Model for a building, we can measure the coordinate of each point of the building and terrain (completely same as the real survey in the field) in the CV Image.
The 3D coordinates are integrated with the city space without any contradiction, which is due to the complete and correct integration of the 3D coordinates of the building in relation to the background space. Of course, this measurement process is done automatically.

By this ingenious way, we can easily complete "Integration of Coordinate" of each buildings, the background terrain, and also the whole city, so that we never face any serious inconsistency or gap on the 3D coordinate in combining each computer graphics together.

The quality of the 3D Models look very real as we can create very detailed models of structure based on real imagery according to each purpose. We can also make Computer Graphics (CGs) which seem real by using the texture from the CV image of the real world.

You can see the attached Demo movies made after the integration of Aerial and Road videos. You might not believe they are completely Computer Graphics.

360 Degree CV (Camera Vector) imagery is an unique value added content which also is the common data used for each of Iwane遯カ蜀ア solution. We can use the same 360 Degree CV imagery data for Active Link Vision as well as for creating 3D CG models using our 3D PCCI tool. With a uniform 360 Degree CV database, it is easier for us to use the same data in completing 3D modeling projects within tight deadlines because we do not have to go through the data acquisition phase repeatedly for offering different solutions such as ALV or 3D Models.

Iwane's inovative new technology

Iwane Laboratories, Ltd. introduces a new technological process to create 3DCG model automatically from CV Image data. This is a fully automated process and does not require any manual intervention.

By implementing this new automated process, CV Image data is automatically processed from the original video image (shooting data), followed by the automatic extraction of the point cloud from the contours of the building surface. Finally, the automatic estimation of polygon from the point cloud and the automatic acquisition of the colour pattern from the CV Image Data takes place. The fully automated creation of 3D CG is complied to by adhering to the automated processes as mentioned above.

Iwane Mobile Mapping System (IMS) facilitates acquisition of high resolution 360 Degree Geo-Referenced Imagery from a moving vehicle. IMS is a flexible and compact unit which enables easy mounting on any type of vehicle and captures high resolution geo-referenced imagery on the move. Every pixel is geo-referenced. Besides, IMS unit comes with a unique Data Acquisition Software which allows real time monitoring and control of data acquisition.

ALV Library (ALV is possible to link with other GIS)

Software Development Kit with the libraries to develop 3DVideoGIS application (ALV) of CV Image combined with the existing GIS software.

Overview

ALV Library is the set of Libraries and Runtime to develop 3DVideoGIS application (ALV), representative application of CV Image (e.g. ALV for ArcGIS), on any GIS platform. CV Image can be used as three dimentional space and the 3D GIS feature (e.g. the measurement in the video, 3D geometry, CG, Attributes and search) is provided. These feature can be connected with the other GIS engine by the API provided, then the complete 3DVideoGIS application which integrates 3D space of CV Video image and 2D space of GIS can be developed.

Digital Street Scanner -Ortho Tool-

Digital Street Scanner is the software to process Ortho images on Road and a series of image on road side from CV Image.

Overview

The CV (Camera Vector) image of road slope and the buildings are automatically analyzed and the image is plainmetrically projected as the road surface image. Further, high resolution ortho image of the road and the continuous image of the street side can be processed. The output ortho image is in GeoTIFF format and it can be uploaded onto a GIS software.

The whole Computer Graphic is successfully made from Aerial Video and Road Video by CV Integration technology. This technology is Only-one technology which was developed by ourselves. There is no other way to combine the CG from Aerial Video and Road Video consistently.

The real 3D contents from arbitrary point of view can be made from PCCI.

Stereovison PCCI

When the PCCI is made from the real video image, the real 3D contents can be made freely at the same time as the 3DCG is processed.

User can configure the arbitrary camera path, point of view, parallax, convergence. The amount of viewpoint can be also set freely, therefore not only the binocular stereoscopic but also the multi-viewpoint image can be made.

Using the CV value of the real image, the 3D contents can be made on the same camera path as the original video image. The possibility of PCCI has been expanded.
